Ever1sgay: This is a pauper deck, not a modern deck.

@Flooremoji: The infinite combo in this deck is created by rule 121.3. Essentially since the -1/-1 counters are removed when the +1/+1 counters are placed on the Persist creatures, Persist will trigger again when the creature dies. This with a sacrifice engine creates infinite enters the battlefield and enters the graveyard triggers.

@Mr_Applegate: Thank you for providing critical input. I suggest you take a look at my original variant of the deck in the description. As I said this was an experimental build. The linked deck in the description is what I actually run.

@KingRamz: Thanks for the tips! I will be adding Melira, Sylvok Outcast in place of Ivy Lane Denizen and Vizier of Remedies in place of Durable Handicraft. Gonna pass on Solemnity for now as it can cancel out Cathars' Crusade.

@Snips500: If you like Pauper combo decks you should take a look at my other deck. It has hut #1 on the site twice across 2 iterations and it also has an otk infinite combo. Pauper Infinite Storm ($10 Budget OTK)

@Skwarka: Oh yeah lol. Thanks for catching that. I wrote up the description at 4 am one night when I had just gotten off work. Meant for it to be 2x Holdout Settlement and 1x Forest not 2x Forest and 1x Holdout Settlement.

@n0bunga: Thanks for the input but I think I will pass on that one. Most times I don't end up casting Reaper King because I plan to win without him. The only reason he is the commander over say, Child of Alara or another 5 color Commander is because of Persist Scarecrows like Wingrattle Scarecrow and Rattleblaze Scarecrow allowing me to go infinite with his ability if I have to. I would much rather run the two cards suggested by DaftVader above because they make the rest of my persist creatures work with Reaper King. The only time he is cast is when I can combo with him.

@Guitarthunder: Decimator Beetle is too slow compared to Ivy Lane Denizen, Juniper Order Ranger, or Cathars' Crusade. All of which remove the -1/-1 counter the instant the persist creature returns from the graveyard. Thank you though!

@DaftVader: Hmm yeah that sounds great. However I am gonna keep the persist scarecrows as well as Scuttlemutt for when I can't hit either Conspiracy or Arcane Adaptation. So I will for sure drop Heap Doll, but I need one more card to drop.

Building a Reaper King Aristocrats Commander deck that abuses persist and effects such as Juniper Order Ranger. It doesn't matter to me either way as I will still be playing the card; I am just curious as there will undoubtedly be a time this interaction comes up in play.

@Philoctetes: Lotus Petal would be good; however, I do not think they justify the playset costing more than the deck itself. If you already own a set then sure. Otherwise, I don't think the deck is competitive enough to justify it. At that price I would rather just be playing burn. Burn is more consistent but less flashy. This is a gimmick infinite combo deck. I also touched base on this on the original deck in the comments.
