Mystic Subdual interaction with Keensight Mentor

Hi,

I'm having a disagreement with my friend on the interaction of Mystic Subdual and Keensight Mentor. If Keensight mentor has already given another creature a vigilance counter, does resolving mystic Subdual on that creature negate the vigilance?

Yes, Mystic Subdual will remove the Viligance ability from the enchanted creature. It does not, however, remove the counter.

All ability additions and removals happen in timestamp order in layer 6. In other words, you consider the additions and reduction all in chronological order. If they were to use Mystic Subdual, and then you give that creature a Vigilance counter, that creature would have Viligance.
