How does lifelink work when ur creatures is blocked by more then one creature

Player A attacks with 5/5 lifelink Player b blocks with two 2/2So u heal from both combats?

There is only one combat. Player A gets to divide the damage between the two 2/2s as they please. The most common scenario would be to deal 2 damage to one, and 3 damage to the other, killing both of the 2/2s and gaining Player A 5 life.
