Force sacrifice: use Eldrazi Scion for mana

Say an opponent casts Tribute to Hunger. If I choose to sacrifice an Eldrazi Scion to satisfy the spell, does its activated ability trigger? ("Sacrifice this creature: add 1 to your mana pool")

No. An Eldrazi Scion token's ability is activated, not triggered. If you intend sacrifice it to satisfy Tribute to Hunger, you will not have an opportunity to activate it. If you activate it in response to Tribute to Hunger you will need to choose a different creature (if you have one).
