How does Athreos, God of Passage deal with token creatures i control? Will the opponent still be forced to pay 3 life for them to actually die? If they don't pay the life for them do die will they do to my hand just to be able to cast them for no mana?

Tokens can only exist on the battlefield; any other zone they go to they cease to exist as a state-based action once they get there. So while they will trigger Athreos, God of Passage 's ability, by the time it resolves the token will be long gone. Your opponent 'can' pay the 3 life, but nothing will happen either way.
