The "add alter" button is missing

I wanted to try adding an alter after following this guide but I do not ever see the "add alter" button to click, only Any ideas? Most of my friends tried this out and it worked flawlessly

Perhaps, you have to be an upgraded user to make alters of cards on this site? If you aren't upgraded then that would explain why you can't see the add alter button and why the add alter page doesn't show for you. Have you upgraded your account on this site? It's a $5 one time fee.

I upgraded with the $3 monthly to support the site, and my buddies are free users, so I don't think that's the case

Hey, you don't need the button to add an alter. All the button does is take you to the add alter page of this site.
Add an Alter
This link takes you the add alter page where you have to choose what card you want add an alter for, the specific set (printing) the alter is for and of course the alter card image you want to use.
