TappedOut: Website Tips and Tricks (New Users)

TappedOut forum

As a fairly new user to the website, TappedOut has proven to be be extremely useful, if not a little difficult to use.

I see features being used by some of the more advanced community members and I was curious if anyone could lend input or offer tutorials for certain features of the website.

Here are a couple of my own questions or concerns; feel free to add your own or answer anything posted.

Deck Builder and Deck Page

  • On the deck page there is a handy feature where you can post updates you've done to the deck, so that people following you have access to any changes you've done. This allows for a more person approach to the community that is following you.
  • I've noticed that previously, these updates acted like the 'accordion' feature when there was more than one. Though, that feature does not seem to exist anymore; can anyone confirm this?

Comments

  • When I've made a comment I see the option to delete or edit it. It seems as though when I leave the page, or perhaps over-time, the comment becomes locked. How or why does this happen?
  • Some comments become irrelevant over time. I am curious to know if there is a way to delete old comments.
  • and/or, if there is no way to delete old comments; is there a way to edit old comments.

Rules Q&A

  • How do you close a thread? I feel like a fool; on one of the threads I started I've selected an answer that meets my requirements, however the thread is still open.

Forum Threads

  • If, in the case where I need to delete this forum post. How would I go about doing that? As I have not made it yet I do not know if it will be comprehensive.

Anything helps...

Feel free to link forum threads with related content, or perhaps third-party tutorials.

I appreciate all the help and time you have to offer.

Yes, updates were like an accordion but for the sake of mobile browsing they've been moved to their own pages.

You can edit a comment after a short time, after which it becomes part of the permanent public record. That said you can delete comments on your own wall and decks if you're upgraded, and you can archive comments before a certain date on the edit page of a deck.

Q&A threads close on their own after a certain point.

You can't. But you can update it.
