Hey all,

TappedOut is now live on freenode thanks to Spoofed. If anyone needs help connecting please post here.

Windows users can use Pigin. Mac Users can use Adium(?).

I have no idea what I am doing with this program.

If you're using Windows or Linux, get XChat.

Connect to freenode, then enter channel tappedout.

Also, Pidgin is hardly an IRC program.

I am unsure what program would be best for Mac.

Pidgin is a general IM chat manager i.e. you can use gTalk, MSN, fb, etc all at once through one program. XChat and mIRC are dedicated IRC clients that offer a lot of support for IRC. You can also use the freenode webchat here: #TappedOut

I think we should listen to the Asian more than anyone else about this.

Then you should totally listen to me and delete your System32 Folder.

I definitely think this is a great idea. Builds community and spreads Magic knowledge.

Go to: C:Windows and scroll down a bit there should be System32 folder. Delete it and ignore anything the computer says about it being currently in use and being very vital to the continued performance of your computer.

For Mac I believe Adium supports IRC. And as always you can use Freenode's online IRC client at webchat.freenode.net.

It's actually super hard to get rid of the system32 folder. It asked me about 74 times if I was sure... I mean, what's wrong with that computer, doesn't it think I know what I'm doing?

After I was done doing that, my computer got mad at me and wouldn't turn back on... Now I have to use my neighbors computer and the rip off artist is charging me $32.86 an hour.

So moral of the story: Computers have feelings. Don't hurt them.

I'm sure that in time, it will forgive me and turn back on... until then I'll need to take a part time job to cover the interweb expenses.

how does this stuff work again/ is the IRC channel still up?

The IRC channel still appears to be up, but no one is using it. Mac users can check out Textual. On Linux my personal favorite is WeeChat.

Hope more people use this though, it'd be a great distraction at work :D.
