Potential Feature: Email Notifications

So a long time ago I got rid of email notifications on TappedOut but I was thinking about adding them back.
Essentially, I'm thinking that if you have Notifications, it will email you after you've accrued a certain amount of them, or not checked them after a certain amount of time.
What do you guys think? What options would you like?
I want to do it smarter this time, so if you cleared your notifications on the site, you wouldn't get an email.
before, you would get an email per comment--that's too much =)

I was never a fan of email notifications for any kind of forum updates. I personally wouldn't use them.
I did like the idea you proposed a while ago of having a separate tab at the top for binder notifications, though.

The ability to clear your notifications cache would also be pretty nice.

Once I go through all the notifications, they sit in the drop-down list and eat up screen space that I like to use for clicking on the Q&A button...
It's not necessary, just thinking out loud.

I actually really like the trade binder/profile notifications button and other stuff notifications button. But as for email notifications, I don't feel as though it's necessary.

Well... to be honest, i don't think we need them. I set up a rule that put all of my email notifications from this site into a special folder which i just regularly empty. LOL. Was kinda like getting a lot of spam. any how my 2 cents.
