How does "Sync with Invetory" work?

There's an option to sync decks with your inventory on the deck edit page. How does this work?

When I check that box, does every card in the deck get added to my inventory? Does it remove the cards that are in that deck from my binder and place them in my inventory? How does it work with cards that I don't own? Does it also use the acquire board?

I'm going to purge and update my inventory / trade binder, so I want to take advantage of the available features.

I think it's that it syncs your Acquireboard with the Wants section of your binder.

I tested it after I erased my inventory/wants/haves and it put the entire deck list in my inventory and the acquireboard didn't seem to matter.

Hmm it used to be the thing I was talking about. Maybe that's just a lasting after-effect of the cycling/new deck bug that zonked the site out a few days ago? Idk.

yeah the acquireboard isn't synced to your wants but that can certainly be added. and your sideboard not adding is probably a bug.

as for maybe, i don't know. it seems like we shouldn't sync that since its just stuff people are considering.

I think it would be neat if the system checked what you own in your inventory/"haves" and moved that to "in decks" when you check the box. Anything that's in the deck but isn't in your inventory/"haves" is added to your "wants." Seems like it could cause a lot of confusion too though. I think "Sync to inventory" appropriately fits this, and "add to inventory" appropriately fits the current system. Sync to me doesn't necessarily mean add, but then again I could just be weird.

I honestly never used the Acquireboard until today when I was trying to figure this out. How much use does this feature and the "Sync to Inventory" feature get?

I didn't check the sideboard, it very well might sync to the inventory. I didn't try it.

I agree that the maybeboard should not be synced to anything.

I wish there was a "sync with inventory" feature that made it so when building a deck and doing a card search I was only given results for cards that I own so that i knew I could put the deck together immediately.
