How does compare option work?

I have added a couple of decks already, and the cards in them are also showing as part of my inventory. Now, I found I deck I like, I copied it to a separate folder (for decks I would like to build). From the deck I click "Compare to Inventory" and the results show that I am missing all the cards in the deck, when in fact I already own most of them from the other decks I've uploaded and are part of my inventory.
I'd like to understand better how this compare option works please.

You can mass edit via a list like you do decks. You can only use the mass edit once every five minutes, but via the magic of tabbed browsing you could keep it open in one tab as you copy from all of your other decks that you want to put into your inventory.

So yes, I realized that even though I have my decks, they are not really in my inventory until I manually add them. Also true, you have to go make a copy of your deck list, and then paste it in the corresponding Inventory tab to have it added, however, you cannot use this again for a while (5 minutes as per Gidgetimer).
ASK: Would be great that once you are done with a deck, to give the option to add it to your inventory. Other websites like DeckStats allow this, with a validation screen asking if you want to add all of them or just the ones that are not yet in your inventory.
I hope this is considered some day.

When you click the folder in the upper right of the website (on the full site, not sure where it is on mobile) a box with a list of your decks, friends, and followers comes up. In the upper left of that box is a button that says "inventory". If you click that button you can add cards to your "inventory" I'm not sure if there is a mass add function so that you can add an entire deck at once, I will look at it a bit more. It is this list that it compares to when you "compare to inventory".
