Hey everyone!

Content has been a little light on the site for a week or so.

Remember if you ever have any ideas about articles you can email me at:
[email protected]

Even if you feel that you're not the best writer, there's no reason to not shoot me an idea. I offer editing, rewriting, and coding input so even a rough outline or small idea is enough to produce pages of content.

Let me know!

I've been meaning to write something for a long time now, but lack a topic. Would you want an article about intro to sideboarding? Basically give a rough idea of the different sideboarding approaches as well as some common mistakes I've personally made or seen people make when constructing and using a sideboard. I think that's something I could write pretty easily.

EDIT: I suppose I could have emailed you, but I'm more responsive to comments on here :)

I'd be up for some sideboard knowledge. Boarding is the hardest part outside of actually playing because it requires you to know everything about your deck and your opponents deck.

EpicFreddi I've started writing, it but it's turning out to be a bigger article than I anticipated. I'm planning on breaking it into multiple articles so I can cover it all. Here are the rough topics I've brainstormed. Can you think of any that I've missed? I would include multiple topics per article; each of these wouldn't be their own article.

  • Introduce overall sideboard options: hate, transform, card upgrades, wishboard, etc.
  • What's your deck's context in the meta?
  • A cohesive 75: Sideboard should be an extent of the mainboard, not an entirely different deck
  • Revisit overall sideboard options to determine the correct plan(s) for your deck
  • Each matchup: find your edge
  • Balance of a sideboard: how much space to allocate to what you want to include
  • Advanced Sideboard topics, including: Cut your losses and only sideboard for whats relevant, Splashing other colors in the board (twin into green, valakut into black, etc), and Tuning your mainboard flex spots to make the sideboard better

The idea is that each step would build on the previous step. I don't intend on including any sections on actual sideboard cards, but I will link to mtgtop8, mtggoldfish, and tappedout resources like the modern list of sideboard staples.

ToolmasterOfBrainerd sounds awesome. You have a very clear idea of what you want to do and the topics sound very interessting. Make a Sideboard-Series out of it, I'm sure many people would like and appriciate it.
