Desert Bus for Hope! A fundraising event supporting child's play charity hosted by the comedy crew of Loading Ready Run who have been around for around 13 years, and are most notable in the MtG community for its Friday Nights series. Further, stay tuned for the documentary that is soon to be released around mid-march.

What is Desert Bus? Well, take it straight from their about page, their FAQ page or just read some excerpts below.

Desert Bus is a mini-game from the never-released Sega CD game Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors. Challenging the player to drive a listing, unreliable, virtual bus on an endless, eight-hour-long strip of highway between Tucson, Arizona, and Las Vegas, Nevada, it is widely regarded to be the worst video game ever made.

We play it for as long as donations come in. In order to keep things interesting for our viewers we have live and silent auctions, giveaways and contests, celebrity guests and a lot of silliness.

Child's Play is a registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of children undergoing treatment in the hospital with toys and games. The charity supports a network of over 100 hospitals worldwide.

Child's Play also supports domestic violence support facilities and aims to provide opportunities for positive engagment, distraction, and play for children in domestic violence shelters and advocacy centres.

Desert Bus also holds plenty of auctions, live and silent so make sure to grab what you can get, cause those framed and signed Portal posters donated by Valve and the glass replica of Sting from Lord of the Rings certainly won't wait for anyone.

So what are you waiting for? Set your schedules to watch and donate at Nov.12 onward on Twitch TV Desert Bus. The Loading Ready Team is screaming in excitement. Are you?

This post makes me happy. DB9 was my first year I got to watch and it was amazing. I tell anyone who will listen about this to try and get them to kick in a few bucks if they can.

Didn't AVGN rate that as the 2nd worst game ever?

Not too sure what AVGN rated it as, but it is regarded as the worst ever.

Here's another Desert Bus of Hope creation: QWERPline!

Keep in mind that Loading Ready Run (or LRR as they are more easily referred to as) are a improv comedy group, meaning they do most of their stuff without any planning. Shit just goes.

Probably for most of next week I'll be posting highlights from Desert Bus 9, to see what sort of things you'll be getting yourselves into.

Kate and Kathleen give horrible advice.
