Deck Idea: B/W Gideons with Ixalan releasing

With the new legendary planeswalker rule coming out when Ixalan is released I have started to contemplate building a B/W Gideons deck. I was wondering what you all thought about this possibly becoming a thing? I was thinking B/W for the discard/removal of black with the addition of Path from White. The main concept I had about the deck would be to run Lingering Souls for tokens/blockers and then using the gideons to attack an opponent. The decks I have played against so far at my local shop are Bant Eldrazi, Affinity, Naya Burn, U/W control, Jund, Valakut, UR storm, Junk, and Griselbrand combo. I have seen Living end and Death's shadow played as well, but I have not had the honor of playing against them.
The basic concept I have is an article I found here on mtgGoldfish. Do you think the deck concept I am thinking about would work? I am still new to the modern format so I am not sure if I would be building a deck that would be able to stand up to the Tier 1 decks. I would not be running as many planeswalkers, but the removal would be the same concept. I just wanted to ask before possibly buying the cards I need to complete the deck. Any input is appreciated. I don't have any personal experience with it, but if you Google "Gideon Tribal" you will find a relatively high number of people who is trying decks similar to what you described in different colours. So far i've seen on T/O a mono-white version, an Orzhov version, an Azorius one and a prison Boros. Their answers will surely be good for you.
