Problem with the builder. How do I get rid of this?

I have one of the highest rated vampire decks in modern, and years ago I decided to update the deck for Vampire Nocturnus (main wincon) to be my deck's "commander" so he'd show up plainly visible while viewing the deck. But ever since then when I try to remove it, because it messes with the playtester, I can't delete the "commander" copy in the builder. It just re-adds it when I click update.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Nice flex on the highest rated vamp deck in modern.

Included that in case anyone says "just post a new deck". I'm not about to abandon it.

I copied the deck to try and troubleshoot the issue. The copied deck also had this issue. This is how I fixed it:

  1. Edit.

  2. Delete the commander Nocturnus entirely.

  3. Make Olivia your commander (it might not matter what you pick, but it's a 1-of).

  4. Save.

  5. Edit again.

  6. Remove the commander tag from Olivia.

  7. Save.

Hope this helps.

@1empyrean Unfortunately not working for me, appreciate that you tried.

Oh well. The copied deck reads as having 60 cards until I make the change that unsticks Nocturnus. Then it's 61.

Just adding a set code to the commander, like (M13), made it update properly. No weird step by step process was actually needed.

That probably won't work either if the first solution didn't work.
