New Free MTG App for Android

Hey guys,

We have just launched a new free MTG app for Android. There was nothing in the app store that we liked so we made our own. We might be biased but we think it's the best looking app in the store. It's also the only one that supports 8 players on a single screen.

It has Poison and Commander tracking, Dice and Coin flip, Customization for backgrounds and heaps more!

We'd love for you to check it out and let us know what you think. If you want any features or to suggest improvements then we would love to hear them.

Download it here: (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rule02.touchpool)

While I like the concept of Chromecast support for my shop, I think that I would still stick with MTG Familiar strictly for the fact that it includes a trade feature. It's literally all that I could want in one app. However, it does have layout flaws that I don't particularly agree with, so if you were to somehow use these same features, I would consider swapping apps.

I already use multiple different apps for card searching, trading and life counting but I'm rather happy with the ones I currently use.

I haven't found a better one for Commander stuff yet and from the looks of the screenshot, yours isn't better either. I might give it a shot anyway.

Initial thoughts:

Easier to use than the others i've been using. Still, some things I think would be large improvements:

In EDH 'quick game' mode: commander dmg should really just be turned on/visible on loading, you're generally going to need it.

In EDH multiplayer mode, I cant see a way to keep track of damage from multiple commanders. If it's a 3 player game, you can use poison (if otherwise unused), but more than 3 players and you're eukered.

I assume the above also applies to tiny leaders... (is tiny leaders still a thing?)

In all multiplier modes, I would greatly prefer being able to alter player life from the main screen (displaying all players), and not have to click on each player individually in order to do so. It will be a tremendous pain to change everyone's life after a Gray Merchant of Asphodel hits, or someone extorts..etc in a 4+ player game. And in general, the less back and forth, the better.

Cool app though. Cheers.
