Was getting bored of R/U Delver so I decided to go ahead and make a new FNM deck, and here it is.
Undying is my new favorite mechanic. There is so much to do all the time and counters to keep track of and when to block and attack, it just always keeps you thinking of your next move. And with all the black control in standard now, the Undying effect really puts a damper on the opponent. Control all you want, my stuff is coming back! lol.
Played against my friends deck for a few hours and won all the matches, but every match went 2-1.
I plan on bringing this to FNM tomorrow so we'll see how it competes.
Get rid of Demonlord of Ashmouth and Lumberknot to add 4x card:Geralf's Messenger
I just hate that card:Geralf's Messenger is 3 black mana for a creature that comes in tapped, and comes in tapped after undying triggers. And it hurts that I already have multiple cards that require multiple mono mana. Yes I know that the 2 damage off sets this, but I still don't like it. But I think you are right to take out Lumberknot 's.
What creature do you think could replace the Lumberknot ? Another 1 or 2 drop would be nice. Maybe a "when it enters the battlefield" creature, or maybe another soulbound?
I don't understand Bond Beetle in here. All it can do is make undying useless on your creatures. Add a sac engine. Even something like Bloodflow Connoisseur . I say -2 Lumberknot +2 Bloodflow Connoisseur -4 Bond Beetle +4 Blood Artist (for the win!)
I have taken out Bond Beetle as well as other cards. Bond Beetle was there for a 1 drop that "could" put counters on something, even himself, but mainly was thinking for Lumberknot or Hex Parasite .
Vorapede didn't see play once in my games, so not sure if ill take him out.
Wolfir Silverheart is a mean drop late game, worked awesome.
Looking for another late game threat instead of Vorapede maybe?

May I suggest card:Conjurer's Closet? It works really well with Undying creatures because when the flicker effect of it triggers it loses the +1/+1 counter making it able to un-die again.
