Big Changes Come with MH2! —Oct. 21, 2021

Not really. This deck is largely the same as it was before barring some sideboard cards. Some of those playing this deck are using a lot of the new MH2 cards, though those decks are more between yawgmoth combo and this deck rather than one or the other, so these decks get more reason to play those cards.

While this deck has not changed much, the meta has, and that is only to this deck's benefit. Seeing Urza's Segas means Gemrazer is cast for full value much more of the time. The meta is generally a little slower. There aren't a million Blood Moons running around, and the deck is as fun as ever to play.

Only major changes are to the sideboard. This meta brings the unique situation where Tragic Slip is playable. There are other cards that compete for the same slot, but aside from me just liking the excuse to play this card, it hits all the X/1's of the format, a 1 mana -13/-13 kills pretty much everything for 1 mana, but also the cost of needing morbid almost isnt there in this deck.

Endurance is just improved sideboard hate that can be useful in matchups that arent dredge like a lot of graveyard hate is.

Void Mirror is a way to deal with rhinos and elementals, the two matchups I fear the most (though I have yet to face the decks as of recently) as well as being some accidental tron hate among other random decks.

Aside from that, those are the biggest changes to the deck.

As a closing note: with the introduction of other MH2 cards, it is definitely worth testing those cards out. I just don't personally feel like these cards would improve the deck, but rather detract from its main focus.

zapyourtumor, thanks for the feedback. I've been away since mh2 has came out, so there is a lot of stuff that I'd like to test but havent had a chance yet. Im definately going to try yavimaya, it can help a lot with fixing in the right situations, but Im not optimistic it will fit right with the deck. Only testing will tell. Thanks for the suggestion!
