Just want to understand what makes Watchwolf banned but Call of the Conclave is not?

Also, Q&A is for rules questions only. A discussion of why a card is banned should go in the sub-forum of the format it's banned in.

My Brother who is not so smart asked me and i put this on for him. Thanks for checking. smash10101 thanks for your service in monitoring where we ask important issues. I will do my best in the future to post in the correct place.

It isn't legal in standard, if that's what you're asking.

Maybe he is talking about the fact that it isn't legal in standard. That is because it wasn't printed in one of the last two sets.

@smash10101 & Dookie1984: Questions like this are alright in the Q&A if they're simply about whether a certain card, printing, etc. is legal in a certain format. If they're meant to be discussions about a ban or possible ban, then they do belong in the appropriate format's forum.

Like others have said, you are probably getting legality and banning confused here. Watchwolf is legal in most formats, just not Standard.

@Epochalyptik: Seemed to me that this was intended to be a question of why something was banned, not whether or not is was banned, and therefore should have been in the relevant sub-forum

@ everybody: he's already asked the question and gotten an answer. Provided he's not going to ask another question about why another card that isn't banned is banned, I think directing him to talk about it on another sub-forum is kind of moot.

@BrounieMan: Not really. It doesn't matter for this question, but it does (re)set the precedent for future posts.

I am not sure what you are referring to. According to its Gatherer legality page it is legal in every format it would be normally legal in.
