i was wondering what is the minimum/maximum cards in a deck? is their even a limit
In EDH the deck size is exactly 100 cards, not 99.
At the start of the game, you remove your general from your deck and place it in the command zone, but it IS in your deck as part of construction.

Also, in theory the maximum size of a deck is "As large as you can still comfortably shuffle without assistance" because without the ability to shuffle it as one unit, you can't guarantee sufficient randomization of the contents of the deck.
Someone at Wizards I want to say, actually wrote an article arguing that Battle of Wits should be considered banned in all formats because of the fact that a 200-card sleeved deck is not possible to reasonably shuffle without assistance.

In most formats, including Standard, Modern, and Legacy, the minimum deck size is 60. In EDH, the deck size must be exactly 99 cards.
