What exactly does Goblin Sleigh Ride do?
Asked by SquirrelPenguin 5 years ago
So I just found this card, Goblin Sleigh Ride, and it seems fun but I would like to know what it does before I buy it since there are no rulings for it anywhere. So do I just put the creature on top of the card and try to slide it to my opponent's creatures? Or is there some other thing I have to do?

The point of silver-bordered cards is that they don't make sense. Many of them straight-up break the rules of Magic, so you'll be hard-pressed to find rules more a lot of them. More often than not, the rules for those cards depend on the playgroup.

Raging_Squiggle, so this card essentially reads:
Goblin Sleigh Ride
Sorcery
Put target creature you control onto Goblin Sleigh Ride. You slide them across the playing surface. If the creature stayed on, it deals damage equal to its toughness to each other creature touched during the slide.
also, how do I slide them? do I push them across the table with my hand, touching it the whole way, or do I have to push it so that only the initial push touches my hand.

That’s open to interpretation. Usually though, when you slide something, you give it the initial push and let go, otherwise if you kept your hand on it, you’d just be pushing it as well as be able to easily manipulate where it goes.

Yeah basically. Slide it across the table and if it stayed on, it damages any creatures it touched on the way.
