Using Mighty Leap after blockers have been declared.

To make it simple if my 1/1 get's blocked by a 2/2 and i use Mighty Leap before combat is assigned, does my attacker get damage through to the other player or is it still blocked. And if it is still blocked will their creature die or not since it technically can't block it.

Evasion abilities like flying only effect what creatures are allowed to be declared as a blockers against the flying creature. Once a legal block has been made the blocked creature remains blocked unless an ability specifically says otherwise, regardless of what evasion abilities the blocked creature gains later in the turn.
Your 1/1 stays blocked by the 2/2 and becomes a 3/3 flyer until end of turn. The creatures still deal damage to each other and the 2/2 dies.
