Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded's +1 ability with Instants

Ok, so my question is. I have a Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded on the field. I have no hand and I decide to use his first ability, which allows me to draw a card, then discard a card at random.

If I draw an instant, can I use it before I have to randomly discard a card from my hand?

No, you can't cast spells or activate abilities while a spell or ability is resolving (unless that object specifically gives you permission). You will have to finish resolving Tibalt's ability (discarding the card it drew) before you can do anything else.
