Phasing?

Asked by Sirbaron 11 years ago

I still don't grasp this concept especially with Dream Fighter

Phasing was an ability introduced and only used in the Mirage block. It is similar to the blink effects that are commonly used now except that permanents with phasing would phase in or out at the beginning of the untap step, before untapping permanents.

The gatherer page for Dream Fighter shows the reminder text for the phasing keyword to explain how it works and when it happens.

Phasing in and out doesn't count as the creatures changing zones. All Phased out creatures that where Phased out with Dream Fighter , phase back in before their untap step at the beginning of their turn. Keep in mind, when a creature is phased out, all attached permanents, Counters, and other connections such as Imprint do not pop, and stay with that permanent when it phases back in. Also, to reiterate, creatures phased out with Dream Fighter phase back in before their controller's untap step, not when Dream Fighter phases back in.
