Ok quick question and a problem that I ran into. When I play Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, how many times may I play his first ability?( tap a Swamp,Forest, and colorless mana and sac a creature) How may times can I repeat that ability?

I recently played Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, on my next turn I played his first ability to sac a creature and make a player lose x amount of life. The player I was playing said I could only play that ability once, I in turn said that you could and we could not find what we were looking for.

Use double square brackets to link cards. It's easier for readers, since they don't have to spend as much time looking something up, and it's easier for you, since you don't have to spend as much time explaining things.

Unless an ability specifically gives a restriction on how many times it can be used per turn (example: Aggressive Mining), you can activate it as many times as you're able to pay the cost. As long as you pay and sacrifice a creature each time, you can activate Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's ability as many times as you want.

You can activate Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's first ability any number of times, but you must pay the cost each time.

Each time you want to activate the ability, you must sacrifice a creature and pay . Each new ability will reference the power of the creature sacrificed to pay for it, not the first or the last.
