Knight of Dawn/Divine Transformation

Asked by Wyrbak 8 years ago

I have a Knight of Dawn in play with a Divine Transformation on it. If I activate the knight and give it protection from white, do I lose the enchantment.

Yes. A permanent with protection from a colour cannot be enchanted by an aura of that colour.

Protection is defined by the acronym DEBT.

  • cannot be Dealt damage by protected value.

  • cannot be Enchanted by protected value.

  • cannot be Blocked by protected value.

  • cannot be Targeted by protected value.

Since the creature now has protection from white, it cannot be enchanted by white enchantments, making it an illegal object to enchant. This will send Divine Transformation to your graveyard as a state based action.
