Kill an Indestructible creature.

Asked by ImTriForceGuy 12 years ago

Are sacrifice, discard, and exile the only way? I was told using -x/-x. Would work as a sba. If its toughness was 0. The rules seem to say otherwise. But it's states combat causing it to be 0, not a spell causing it.

I'm not sure what you mean.

Combat damage does NOT reduce a creature's toughness unless the damage was dealt by a source with either wither or infect.

-X/-X effects will kill indestructible creatures. Indestructibility only prevents something from being destroyed as a result of lethal damage or destruction effects. It does not protect a creature from the state-based action of death or having 0 or less toughness.
