Jace, the Mind Sculptor/Stoneforge Mystic Ban?

Asked by mo_food 13 years ago

Hey guys! This is mo_food. More often than not, I come here to read articles, check out unique or enhanced deck builds, and on this occasion ask a question than I contribute. Hopefully, that's going to change. I have a couple deck ideas, but that's for another day.

Wizards released a "statement" somewhat recently.http://wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/148athe jist of the article? Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Stoneforge Mystic are BANNED effective July 1. Some would argue this is strictly because of the rise in CAW blade decks and the drop in attendance in FNMs and pro tour events.

Guys, what I'm asking is... What is your opinion? Is the ban list good or bad? If CAW blade dies, as it will, what decks will return to popularity, and what new decks will rise in its (CAW Blade) absence?Valakut was beginning its reign before is CAW-suppression. Will this be the winning deck? How do you stop it?What do you guys think?

i think this belongs in the forums.

There is already a forum topic about this. Q&A is typically a section for rules questions.
