Isperia, supreme judge question

Asked by Terramune 12 years ago

Just had a quick question on timing with isperia's draw effect. Now if I understand it right, when the opponent declares an attack with each creature, I draw equal to that many creatures. And if so, do I then draw after each creature declares its attack or in one lump sum?

Or am I misunderstanding the card, and I would only draw once per opponents declared attack phase no matter the number or creatures?

Declaring attackers and blockers doesn't use the stack, so it can't be responded to. Declarations are all made at once, so if your opponent attacks with two creatures, the triggered ability will go on the stack (two of them), and when they resolve you'll draw your cards.

Although the triggers go onto the stack at the same time, you still get 2 of them, and you resolve 1 ability at a time. so if you're asking whether you can cast an instant or something between those triggers, than yes you can

I was more wanting to know for the detain keyword so if I drew a instant detain card after one creature attacked I could use it to stop the other creature from attacking. But if attacking isn't part of the stack then it answers my question, thanks!
