Is it true mana burn doesn't exist at all anymore?

Asked by Becs07 9 years ago

I was away from the game for several years and someone told me that rule went away in the interim.

mana burn was removed in the 2010 rules change. So yes, it is no longer a rule in any competitions, although if you still like playing with it, feel free to make it a house rule.

Mana burn went away in 2010 in addition there were a bunch of other rules changes.

The big changes were:

-No mana burn

-You cannot float mana through steps

-You cannot Wish for a card that is exiled

-Damage does not use the stack. It is dealt as a turn based action at the beginning of the combat damage step

-Lifelink is a static ability and isn't triggered anymore

-If you care, phasing got a overhall
