Is it legal to use foreign cards in a deck?
Asked by Shadowman0369 9 years ago
I have a custom built Sliver deck that is my pride and joy. And over the short time I have been playing I have found and collected a few foreign cards. I am asking cause I have no clue cause I am essentially still new to the game. I have copies of the same card in the deck in English plus I know the abilities like the back of my hand and would never lie in competitive or friendly games just to get an unfair advantage. So, any help is appreciated. Thanks
So using that last sentence you could ask a judge what methods you could use to get the current oracle wording on a card, whether it is the judge themselves telling you or having them watch as you look it up through an official Wizards MTG source etc.

Any official printed Wizards of the Coast Magic the Gathering cards are legal for use as in any language and as long as the format they are being played in also permits that specific card.
Directly from The Wizards Website:
Memory is not a skill being tested by Magic. That's why players are allowed to take in-game notes, and consult them during the remainder of the match. Keep in mind, though, that these notes have to be written down in a timely fashion. These notes can only be used by you, and only during the same match. You may also ask for the current Oracle wording on a particular card.
