How does Isperia the supreme judge exactly work?
Asked by Jorge_A830 9 years ago
So if Isperia supreme judge is my commander and I have her on the battlefield and let's say I get attacked with 5 creatures. I understand her ability is a May ability but can I only draw 1 card if I need to or do I have to draw all 5.the reason why I asked this is because I played a friend of mine who had a token army. I believe he attacked me with like 80 creatures. If I had chosen to trigger isperia's ability would I be forced to draw 80 cards?? THANKS!

Link all cards in your question.
Isperia, Supreme Judge
First, you don't choose to trigger an ability. Triggered abilities trigger automatically when their trigger conditions are met, and they're put onto the stack. Some triggered abilities may offer you the option of doing something, but the ability itself still triggers. You can't prevent that from happening unless you prevent the trigger event from occurring in the first place.
Now, Isperia, Supreme Judge's ability triggers once for each creature that attacks you or a planeswalker you control. Each of these instances of the triggered ability is separate from the others. You may make different choices for some or all of them.
