Hidden Horror's sacrifice ability.

Okay so if I cast Hidden Horror , is it possible to respond to the trigger of it being sacrificed with something like card:Altar's Reap?

Yes

When Hidden Horror enters the battlefield, it's ability goes onto the stack. You may then cast any instants, cards with flash, or activate any abilities you can. If you cast card:Altar's Reap in response and sacrifice Hidden Horror , you will draw 2 cards, then Hidden Horror 's ability will resolve, and you will have to choose between doing nothing (since the Horror's already dead) and sacrificing a creature (if, for some reason, you want to discard one).
