Heritage Druid and tapping itself

Asked by Brenden12497 9 years ago

In the following scenario would heritage Druid be able to tap itself? Turn 1: mana dork. Turn 2: land, and two nettle sentinels. Tap the dork to get a heritage Druid. Since heritage Druid does not specifically have a tap or untap symbol in its description I do not know whether its ability to tap itself on the turn it comes in is affected by summoning sickness, as described by the MTG rule book.

4/1/2008 Since the activated ability doesn't have a tap symbol in its cost, you can tap creatures (including Heritage Druid itself) that haven't been under your control since your most recent turn began to pay the cost.
