Feat of resistance

OK on Feat of Resistance is the 1/1 counter permanent. It states 1/1 counter then indestructible till end of turn. Compared to Enshrouding Mist which states 1/1 counter till end of turn. Is the end of turn on resistance covering all events on that card?

Enshrouding Mist has nothing to do with counters. An effect only involves counters if it specifically uses the word "counter(s)."
Feat of Resistance places a +1/+1 counter on a target creature. Counters remain on permanents indefinitely, until the permanent changes zones, or until another effect removes them. Note also that Feat of Resistance separates the counter-placing effect and the protection effect. The protection effect lasts until end of turn.
Enshrouding Mist confers a temporary +1/+1 "static buff" to a target creature. The buff expires at the end of the turn. It is not a counter.

would you be able to choose colourless as the 'colour' for it to gain protection from until end of turn?

No. Colorless is not a color. Colorless is, by definition, the lack of a color.
