Double Trepanation Blade

Asked by cryptichorror 13 years ago

If one of my creatures is equipped with two Trepanation Blade s, what happens when they attack? I would assume each blade resolves one at a time, so the defending opponent would reveal cards until they revealed a land, my creture would get +X/+0, and then the revealed cards would be put into my opponent's graveyard. THEN, they would repeat the whole process a second time?

Yep you got it.

Both effects will trigger separately and go on the stack in any order you choose. As they resolve, the first will resolve give your creature +x/+0 and mill some cards, then the next will occur and do the same thing.

This is correct. Whenever multiple triggered abilities trigger, they are all put onto the stack in the order their controllers choose. They are created as separate entities, even if they are identical effects. Each source has its own triggered ability linked to it.

In this case, your opponent would repeat the process for each Trepanation Blade , as each one triggers upon the equipped creature attacking.
