Does double strike get double lifelink?
Asked by x1214Tango 10 years ago
It does double the amount of damage you do and that would boost the amount of life I get on my sliver deck significantly so... Does it?
lifelink essentially says you gain life equal to damage dealt. double strike doubles the damage dealt, so yes, you do get double the life, if thats what you're asking

Technically no, it's not double lifelink. It's still just lifelink it's just dealing damage in two different combat damage steps.
If a creature died in first strike damage. Regular damage isn't dealt so you don't technically gain double life. Say a 2/2 creature blocks a 2/2 with double strike and lifelink. If the creature died during first strike damage then regular damage wouldn't be dealt because the creature would already be in the graveyard.

Yes. Double strike deals damage twice, both during the first strike and non-first strike stages of combat, and Lifelink gives you life every time that creature deals damage.
