Does Blood Funnel force me to sac a creature?

With Blood Funnel I'm kinda confused over the wording. Is this a choice, so I can choose to sac a creature or is it a mandatory effect? So that I have to sac a creature I control.

Yes, the word "unless" means you have a choice. If it was written to say something more like "Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, sacrifice a creature. If you can't, counter that spell" then you wouldn't have a choice.
