Curse of Misfortunes

Asked by McClair_Bear 12 years ago

If it's at the beginning of my upkeep, and my opponent has 2 Curse of Misfortunes equipped to them (under my control), can I pull out two of the same curses? Like 2 Curse of Thirst ?

Or does one of them resolve before the other, forcing me to choose 2 different curses?

Thanks!

Enchantments enchant not equip.

I believe they resolve at the same time so you may choose 2 of the same curse to enchant that player.

Spells and abilities on the stack always resolve one at a time, never simultaneously. Whatever curse you choose when the first trigger resolves, you'll end up having to dig out a different one when the second trigger resolves.

I believe that the they would both trigger and go on the stack. You would chose how to resolve them (not that it matters) and one would resolve. You choose to put a Curse of Thirst into play. Then, when your next Curse of Misfortunes resolves, it would check and see your opponent already has Curse of Thirst attached, so you would have to choose a different curse.

(FYI, Enchantments don't equip)

Anyways, at the beginning of your upkeep, each of your Curse of Misfortunes trigger and you choose the order they are put on the stack. As the first Curse of Misfortunes trigger resolves, you search your library for a Curse that is not currently attached to the player and attach it to the enchanted player. State based actions occur. Then the second Curse of Misfortunes trigger resolves, and you search your library for a Curse that is not currently attached to the player and attach it to the enchanted player.

TL:DR No you can't attach two of the same curse.
