casting ur commander is considerate as spell ???

want to know if u put ur commander into battlefield by casting it . is it considerate as a spell so if not it cant be countered ??

Yes. If you tap lands for mana and then use that mana to put something onto the stack, it is considered a spell. The only thing in Magic that you cannot "cast" but can still play is lands. Everything else is considered a spell. That includes your Commander.

then if I play a artefact with 0 as cost its not considerate as a spell if I didn't tap land .. right ??

Any card (or copy of a card) on the stack is a spell. It doesn't matter how the card got to the stack, what you paid for it, etc. If you put it there as part of the casting process or because you were instructed to cast or copy something, then it's on the stack and it's a spell.

Oh yeah I wasn't considering 0-CMC spells when I gave my answer. Yeah, Epochalyptik gave the proper answer.
