Can I cast Map the Wastes with zero creatures in play?

Does Map the Wastes require me to have at least one creature in play before I can cast it?

no. bolster doesnt target and you choose the creature you want to bolster as the spell resolves. so you cast it, the first part resolves and then you just cant choose a creature to bolster because you control none.
