A question about Aurelia

Asked by rockinharry 10 years ago

So I attacked with Aurelia and 5 1/1 tokens, and my opponent blocked with his 3 Angelic Walls. None of my creatures died and neither did his. But in the additional combat step he blocked with the same creatures, can he do that? Can a creature who blocked in the first combat block in the additional, I know the creatures don't tap but can they block twice?

yes they can block twice. Why couldn't they? Though there is some good news, the damage is also cumulative to each creature. so if Aurelia, the Warleader was blocked twice with the same wall. It has 6 damage marked on it. And if it's still a 0/4, it dies. Damage isn't removed till the end of the turn.

I believe that yes, he can. Since an additional attack phase is happening that means that you have to again declare attackers and he declares new blockers. Since none of his creatures had died or tapped, they are still viable to block again.
