Can someone help explain how exactly these cards will work in a Conspiracy draft?

Do you have a more specific question? I don't want to sound like a smartass, but the only answer I have to your current question is "they do what they say they do"...

lore seeker you reveal that you're taking the Seeker from the pack, then for your next draft pick you open another booster pack, and send it down the line.

Lurking automaton you note how many other cards you've picked that round, including the Automaton. So if you get it 4th pick, you note 4. 7th pick you note 7. The Automaton will get that many +1/+1 counters on it when you play it in later games.

To be a bit more specific, what happens to pack you would receive next when you open a new booster pack? Do you take one card from the new booster and one from the Conspiracy booster going around, etc?

As for Lurking Automaton, that clears things up substantially, thank you GreatSword.

No, that's not what happens with Lore Seeker. Instead of taking the next pack from the person on your left or right to draft a card, you open an entirely new pack right away and take a pick from that. You then send that new pack on its way like any other booster, and then take a pick from the next pack from the next person like normal.

So you add a 9th pack to the rotation that time around, which travels around until it's gone just like you would any other pack.

Of interest to me is that it doesn't say the pack needs to be a pack of Conspiracy.

Yep; in the preview video for Conspiracy they used a pack of Time Spiral for extra craziness.
