2 sublime archangels in play

Asked by AnagonLordofSnakes 10 years ago

Say that I have 2 Sublime Archangel in play, as well as a 0/1 goat token. Does my goat token get 2 instances of exalted on it for just sitting there? Hopefully I am relaying my question appropriately.

Rules questions should be asked in the Q&A. I can't convert this to a question thread, so it's getting moved to BE.

Yes. Sublime Archangel staticly grants exalted to all of your other creatures. Exalted is not a redundant ability, and it will have two instances - one from each Sublime Archangel .

It says right on the card "If a creature has multiple instances of exalted, each triggers separately."

Yes, your goat has two instances of Exalted.

This would probably go in the questions not general forum. Chances are your question is bound for the orphanage...

But to answer your question it would ony get the exalted ability once as a creature, but since you have 3 creatures with exalted it would get +1/+1 3 times dice you have 3 creatures with exalted. Having 2 angels giving exalted to others just creates redundancy.

Alright so multiple Sublime Archangel with one attacking creature is not proffitable

It is profitable since the second angel gives another exalted trigger. The more creatures you have with angel means the more triggers you will get

Thanks, my question was if the goat will get two exalted abilities on its ability line from the angels but it has been stated that is not possible

@AnagonLordofSnakes: That's exactly the opposite of what we're saying. Exalted is not redundant. Your token has two instances, and each instance triggers.

mathimus55 is incorrect.

With 2x Sublime Archangel and 1x Goat token, you would have the following.

  • A Sublime Archangel with 2 instances of Exalted (it's own, plus the one given to it by the other Archangel.
  • A second Sublime Archangel with 2 instances of Exalted. (Same as above)
  • A Goat token with 2 instances of Exalted. (one from each Archangel)

As such, if you attack with the Goat token and no other creatures, 6x Exalted triggers will go on the stack... the Goat will become a 6/7 creature.

So the goat would be just chillin at my upkeep reading as so....

Exalted, exalted

Creature-goat

0/1
