Problems in draft sim

Since Dark Ascension was added, there have been a couple of problems. Firstly, with double faced cards, scrolling over "backside" does not show the cards flipped side, which makes it difficult to determine if it's worth drafting, unless you know exactly what it does. Secondly, if the double faced card is a rare or a mythic, there is no rare or mythic regular card like there would be in a real pack. Please fix this soon, because it makes drafting on this website slightly unreliable.

Thanks, I'll address these today.

So I was of the understanding that a Double-faced card replaced the card of its same-rarity. What you are saying is that the DFC can be anything, but it always replaces a common?

Yes, every pack of Innistrad and Dark Ascension has one fewer Common slot than a normal pack, replaced by a special DFC slot, just like how the Timeshifted rarity in Time Spiral had its own slot in the pack. The Common/Uncommon/Rare on DFCs is for how often they show up in that slot.

Weird, so there's not that many DFC cards in the set, so they really show up that often in each pack? There's 4 common DFCs....

Hmm... Now I'm not 100% sure how it works with respect to DFCs, tokens, tips & tricks, and basic land. I'll have to look it up.

Could you? It would be an enormous help.

Okay, I got confirmation from this article that there's one DFC in every pack, and from this one that lands and checklist cards share a slot with each other and the rules/T&T/advert card is its own slot with a different type of cardstock that doesn't get replaced by anything else.

With only one slot in a pack to get a DFC at all, there can't be very many of them. Otherwise, even the common ones would end up being considerably rare. How many times the commons, uncommons, and rares are printed on the DFC sheet (to give the math for the mix) is something I haven't been able to find yet.

So it replaces a common?

Yeah. There's one less common than usual to support a DFC in every pack.
