https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrGQRlAwaG8. No spoilers, probably one of the better standard matches I've seen recently.Do you think Devotion or Midrange will be a thing more and more the closer we get to Khans of Tarkir or even after it's release?
I agree with most of that, but not the land "used" to have dragons with the "existing" Sarkhan person. Maybe this takes place before they were wiped out which is the most unlikely, but also, WotC has trademarked "Dragons of Tarkir" (possibly one of the following most likely the last expansion of the set). Also in a picture it looks like some sort of stone dragon looking creature in the background. A plane full of dragons and they're ALL wiped out? Pffft, maybe Sarkhan or someone finds a way to bring them back or they've got eggs or something, maybe the something "new" is that the story/sets isn't released in chronological order, like a Khans of Tarkir, then the sequel, then the prequel. For reference:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpXwpmm8GXQhttp://tmwatch.net/2014/02/24/wizards-of-the-coast-files-for-dragons-of-tarkir/http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/1496I apologize in advance if no one wanted to see this, it's still pretty cool and exciting to see how the story unfolds.

I feel devotion will be great come rotation. Many of the best cards at keeping it in check are leaving us. They'll be replaced but by lesser cards most likely.
Midrange is already a big part of the Standard meta. Monsters, Junk, and Naya have been doing well.

Midrange is doing well but could be better :p. It lost some power once Innistrad and m13 rotated out. I have hope yet though!

Depends what lands and aggresive spells are printed in Khans
If lots of aggro is printed in khans (which there might as it is a barbarian-type theme) then midrange will probably be played more than control but if there are some good duals (or fetches???) then control might be betterIt all depends what is printed in khans

Oh, wow. The match as a whole was pretty boring to watch, but that come-back was crazy.

I think Devotion will only get better (or equally as good) if more Hybrid cards are printed. That early mass-Devotion really swings games around.
On that topic, I wasn't around when Alara was, did it have Hybrid mana?

I hope that Midrange becomes more of a thing again. It's exactly my play style. With the next set taking place in Sarkhan's home plane it should be interesting none the less. I read somewhere that there is no dragons their but obviously this is just read info and isn't gonna be 100% true. If there are no dragons then I hope there is something equally epic to replace them. I also feel that Sarkhan him self with be of Midrange cost, 4-6 cmc. Probably involving either green, red or black.
