Hey can anyone tell my the whole Brian kibler, Online Magic story , I heard something about him going undefeated then something happened. Im confused, can anyone elebarate.
HE was undefeated in the MOCS, the event crashed and even though he was guaranteed a top 8 spot anyway, the program dropped him from the event making it to where he couldn't play the make up event to begin with.

Also, if Kibler complains and writes an article debasing the entire MTGO then Wizards will fix it, but God forbid anyone else send numerous complaints because they won't listen.

voice and influence, kibler says it over and over hes not the only one complaining, he just has a louder voice bc of his position

To my knowledge other larger events had been crashing too -- I'd say Kibler's situation was just the tip of the ice berg.

I think the funniest part is that WotC basically just said "sorry for the crash, have some boosters and try again next week." Yeah, I'd be pissed too

I don't think many people on tappedout play magic online. That could be a reason why.

I do. MTGO is by and large very good for how ambitious it is, but it does have problems what need fixin'.

the positive thing about all these issues with MTGO is typically, when a product has bad reviews like this, the developers go back and make it better, not necessarily 'fixed' but better than it was and it goes on to have a successful life. I'm hoping that MTGO does just this, but wizards, can you make it a tad bit cheaper than going to a regular FNM (under 10$ for a draft)... It hurts my wallet if I draft or play sealed... :(

I agree with gufymike on this...I have a hard time collecting stuff in IRL let alone a virtual environment. The value of online cards is SOOO less than the "paper magic" it makes me not want to invest in it.
Yes it's a great tool for testing/convenience, however it requires more $$$ and I for one can't afford to do that

shrug I dunno, the cheaper value attracts me to MTGO especially since I lack the time to attend real life events.

@CanadianSamurai: It costs less yes, but then if you want to attend a tournament IRL you would have to purchase/trade for the cards anyway

Short story: he was undefeated in the Magic Online Championship Series and the event crashed. He was unhappy about the solution to reschedule, and now WOTC has pulled all major, and some minor, events from MTGO for the time being.
