Do sets rotate out of modern?
Im sure i could find the answer elsewhere, but im at work and you guys/gals are awesome!
Just want to know if my 2 modern decks i have on my profile will ever become un-modern.

Modern does not rotate. It consists of every core set since and including Eigth Edition, and every block from the original Mirrodin forward. The only way something will cease being legal in Modern is if it is banned.

Modern is an eternal format. No set rotates out. There is a ban list, just like any other format and that would be the only way your deck could be "un-modern".Each set that comes out adds to cards you are able to use in the format.

Modern was created to be a new "Eternal" format that's more easily accessible than Vintage or Legacy. The Banned list might change from time to time, but nothing will ever rotate out of the format.

Technically, Modern is NOT an eternal format. It is a non-rotating format. Eternal formats include cards from all sets and special releases; Modern has a select list of legal sets.

Huh. I didn't know that. Googling some stuff seems to show it was initially announced as a new "Eternal" format, but other official sources later made it clear that was a mistake. I guess that first announcement really stuck in my head.

It's probably one of the most common misconceptions about Modern. The giveaway is that Modern doesn't include cards from special releases like C13 or Planechase.

Well, that makes perfect sense now. Thank you.

To the best of my knowledge, Modern does not rotate. Any set after 8th edition (I think) is legal in modern.
