BNG Pre-Release Packs

So I heard from a friend that our local shop is doing the BNG Pre-Release as 1 BNG color pack, 2 BNG booster packs and 3 Theros packs.
Is this just our shop, or is this required by Wizards?
If it is, I am fairly disappointed. I was hoping to go Green and have Nessian Wilds Ravager and pull a Pharagax Giant and go G/R monsters for sealed.

Oh really? I am disappointed mainly because I was hoping to actually be able to expand my collection into more of BNG rather than Theros. I would also be happy with duplicates as it would make the decks just a little more consistent. (Also, as I mentioned in my OP, I wanted to go G/R at pre-release, which would have been possible, considering I am guaranteed a Nessian Wilds Ravager since I am going Green, and with a small set, I will most likely get Pharagax Giant both of which I think are huge bombs in limited)

Yeah, the Giant's a common. It has a decent chance of still showing up in your boosters.

Why is that disappointing? BNG only has ~150 cards and doing a sealed of only that set would result in a LOT of duplicates. It's the same format as BNG/Theros sealed and the draft will be BNG/THS/THS.
