Why would anyone want to triple sleeve their cards?

Like 4 people at fnm had 3 layers of card sleeves!

Are you sure you're not exaggerating? It is semi-common practice to double-sleeve a deck if that deck contains valuable cards. I've never heard of triple-sleeving.

I'm not even sure how it's logistically feasible to triple sleeve a deck, TBH.

You can triple sleeve with KMC Perfect fits, then regular sized sleeves uLTRA Pro, Dragon Sheild, KMC. then use the Ultra-Pro sleeve protectors. If I would ever get the money to get into Vintage I would quad sleeve. It would be that process then toploaders.

haha yea i could see like vintage decks that cost like thousands, but just standard decks triple sleeved is ridiculous!

It is to protect the sleeves themselves/create a better seal. I have a friend who gets custom sleeves and he triple sleeves to protect his custom sleeves.
